Claire is a Fellow of the Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys (FITMA) by examination and is a Registered Trade Mark Attorney, regulated by the Intellectual Property Regulation Board.

She is also a Professional Representative at OHIM, the European Community Trade Mark Office.

She holds a degree in English law, with specialties in both IP and European Competition Law, from London University (Queen Mary).

She has over twenty years practice in trade mark law, both in UK private practice with Grant Spencer Caisley and Porteous and in house at GlaxoWellcome ( now GlaxoSmithKline), and set up her own practice in 2002.

She has been an editor for the case law bulletins for both the UK Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys and the European Community Trade Mark Association. She has contributed to various texts on UK law, including the Community Trade Mark Handbook and Trade Mark Law: A Practical Anatomy. She is an INTA Member.
